Message from the President

Daiko Sangyo Co., Ltd. was established in 1980 in Yokohama City to undertake shipping-related business in Keihin Port.
Since then, we have provided a shipping agent service in Japan including to foreign naval ships, a safety management service in refueling fuel oil, etc., and a safety management service for fine chemicals at the quay.
Also, to date, in Keihin Port, we have a reliable track record in wide-ranging areas including safety management in offshore loading and unloading for inward/outward cargo, e.g., fine chemicals, etc., ship security and a maritime disaster prevention service.
We strive to provide excellent services that satisfy our customers and continue to be a company chosen by customers.

History

August 1980 Establishment of Daiko Sangyo Co., Ltd.
Started agent service for shippers of bunker and shipping agent service for domestic vessels in Tokyo Bay
March 1983 The company office moved to Yokohama Yusen Building.
May 1984 Started offshore loading and unloading safety management (lubricating oils) and ship security service
September 1984 Started shipping agent service for ocean-going vessels
December 1986 Obtained a license for domestic forwarding agency
January 1991 Joined a member of the Japan Association of Foreign-trade Ship Agencies
February 1991 Approved under Consigned Freight Forwarding Business Act
April 1991 Initiated husbanding service for US naval ships in Japan.
July 1997 Conducted operations to prevent/eliminate oil spillage from Diamond Grace, an oil tanker
September 1997 Supported the first visit of the aircraft carrier USS Independence as husbanding service to a commercial port Otaru
September 1999 Following the foundation of the Japan Offshore Cargo Operation Safety Association, Daiko became a member of the association, and started safety management and ship security services for a chemical cargo operations.
2001 Provided related services for the Water Attraction Department at Universal Studios Japan (a barge or boat, etc.) for three years after its opening
September 2006 Supported the visit of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk as husbanding service to Otaru Port
October 2007 Supported the visit of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk as husbanding service to Muroran Port
October 2013 Initiated husbanding service for various country naval ships in Japan
